Broccoli, Fig, and Gooseberry Soup

Vegetarian!
Ingredients
2 cups
Broccoli florets
2
Dried figs (chopped)
1/4 teaspoon
White pepper
1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon
Masala powder (without red chilli)
1/8 teaspoon
Asafoetida
1 teaspoon
Ghee
Salt to taste
2 whole
Gooseberries
Step by Step Instructions
- Heat the ghee/butter in a pan and add the broccoli, 4 cups water, turmeric powder,and asafoetida. Cover and cook until somewhat softened.
- Add the figs, gooseberries, and, Masala powder and cook until the broccoli has fully softened.
- Add the white pepper and salt, puree the soup with a handheld blender to form a fine puree, then serve.
